‘Aleoria’, a set of symbols with a specific semantics. Each one of these 27 symbols has a special story to tell, a story with multiple journeys that span for sure the 7 seas if not the 5 continents! These symbols have a lot to narrate to those who already know them and much more to those who meet them for the first time.
The name ‘Aleoria’ comes from the Greek word ‘Αλεώρια’ and the verb αλέομαι that means to protect myself, since aleoria are nothing else than buoys and beacons that can be found in the surface of the sea and contribute greatly to safety of navigation. Its depiction on nautical charts appears through these symbols.
The trademark ‘Aleoria’ is inspired by Greece. Designed by a local designer and manufactured in Soufli, a town in the Evros region and the capital of the Greek silk industry, using 100% Greek silk. All ‘Aleoria’ products have been identified by fine quality and innovative design, characteristics that mark the ‘new navy’ trend in fashion.
The idea behind ‘Aleoria’ did not come to surface all of a sudden. It may have been ‘love at first sight’, as the moment the designer saw these minute symbols for the first time she fell immediately in love with them, but materializing the idea was a demanding project, carefully planned with a step by step process, geared towards providing fashion aficionados with a unique and qualitative product that can already narrate a story long before the actual journey starts with it.
The inaugural collection ‘Archipelago’ is being launched with a color palette inspired by the Greek islands. The basic colors chosen by the designer of ‘Aleoria’ are navy blue, bright ciel, fresh cyan reminiscent of a refreshing morning dive to the Greek archipelago as well as rock grey and burning orange taken from a memorable summer sunset.
The minute yet dynamic symbols ‘Aleoria’ challenge you to meet them and to identify with them!!!
